BEYOND THE WINDOW

A window, a frame that looks upon nature.

A stretch of pale sand, woods still half-asleep, the lagoon stirring under the early light.

In the lingering morning mist, a deer picks its way through.

Here, in Spring/Summer 2026, we begin.

Let the camera be the window.

Look out and see another connection with the world.

Light that arrives when it feels like it, a patch of green that keeps its own counsel.

Gaze upon a moment of harmony.

On both sides of the lens, a rare moment of alignment between us and nature is framed.

Between the sand and the woods, a subtle poetry settles —

the moment when landscape, person, and garment settle into fleeting consonance.

The world is not far; it rests within this frame.

The lake lies quiet, rocks stand steady.

When we choose to look out at the world,

we also, unavoidably, see our own reflection in it, and discover our own inner landscape.

Let this window be the eyes with which the spirit looks upon the world.

Through it, we imagine, connect, and re-settle our distance from the outside,

dissolving the fences of the everyday.

In the dialogue between within and without,

to hold the view without flinching,

to tolerate different scenery and voices,

and keep the same inner calm.

To look out through the window —

where the distinction between inside and outside collapses.

All things find their echo.
