AUTUMN/WINTER 2026
THE FOLDS OF NATURE
自然的褶皱
The coast surrenders to the tides' return and retreat.
Winter mist softens the daylight.
The wind blows all day long.
Pure, raw — these are not descriptions,
but the very presence of essential beauty.
Human connection flows —
speech and silence are not contradictions.
Each moves forward, yet each finds shelter in the other.
The blue of the sky and the blue of the sea
embrace, receive, dissolve.
The unevenness of the world is reconciled along a single line.
The horizon holds all vastness within it.
Vastness makes us feel small,
small enough to untie the moorings of thought —
to give ourselves without reserve to nature.
In this moment, I am a button, a thread upon the garment,
and also the ancient instinct of this open land.
When the world and awareness
no longer have an inside and outside,
each breath is an encounter with all things.
The constant and the inconstant, the grand and the subtle —
they are but different echoes of the same pulse.
